It was odd to see water coming down in thick sheets; it almost never rained in Twilight Town. I figured it was a bad omen, almost warning of what was about to come.
I sat on the couch, watching out the window as my brother and Axel hurried from Cloud’s car. I can honestly say that I hadn’t been looking forward to this day, but my mother was a different story. For the past few days, she had been running around the house, making sure it was spotless and nothing was out of place. She had cleaned and dusted Cloud’s old room, and straightened up the guest room for Axel.

It was at Christmas, about half year a ago, and mom was hosting a party. The party was more of an excuse to get drunk and party than it was a celebration of Jesus’ birth. But it’s not like my family's Christian anyway.
My other brother, Cloud, had been home from college and had brought Axel, his best friend at the time, with him. Most people would wonder why Axel wasn’t at his own home, celebrating with his own family, instead of being here in Twilight Town with us. When I had asked Cloud about it, he had simply dismissed it as “complicated”. I didn’t pry.

fake birthdaysBirthdays were an odd thing within the Organization, and for the most part, they didn’t really exist. Original birthdays had been long since forgotten to even the ones who owned them (except for Demyx, for it seemed he could recall an abnormal amount of memories from his past life). The closest thing to a birthday they had now was the day they were turned into a Nobody. However, that personal date was becoming lost in the remnants of unnecessary memory as well. It was invalid anyways, for they weren’t really alive in the first place.fake birthdays
Demyx remembers both of his birthdays. He also remembers Xigbar’s, Axel’s, Roxas’s and Zexion’s.
